SHOOTS

Shoots are part of the family of biogenic foods that are alive.
These are foods that have not been transformed or processed. They are simple, yet complex and life-giving. They foster metabolic reactions, cellular regeneration and they enable the body to consolidate its immune system.
Not only are they highly nourishing, they are also more easily digested and assimilated than their cooked counterparts. They are rich in amino-acids, sugars, fatty acids, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, carotene, dietary fiber, and chlorophyll.
Shoots are an integral part of a healthy diet.
They can be stored in the refrigerator and can be served as salads, added to soups (before serving), juice, sandwiches, stir-fries, pies.
